Winning with best roulette bets
Understanding the best
roulette bets is important in enjoying your game.
While some roulette bets are statistically better
than others, they may not yield the most rewards
money-wise. Conversely, some bets give higher
payouts but are less probable to win on the next
spin. Thus, depending on personal preferences, one
person’s best roulette bets is another person’s
worst.
The trade off lies with the probability of the
number or number group to win on any given spin.
Making a straight bet (single number bet) is always
the best roulette bet in terms of single payout. A
single number bet gives the highest payout at 35 to
1, however the chances that the number will come up
on the spin is only 1 out of 37 on an American
roulette table (1 out of 36 for a European table).

The presence of the double zero in American roulette
increases the house edge for the casino. You always have
better odds at playing with a European roulette table as
against the American version. Therefore, try to always
go for European roulette as much as possible.
Other high payout roulette bets include splits (two
adjacent numbers), which pays 17 to 1; trio or street
(three numbers in a row), which has a payout of 11 to 1;
and corner bets (four adjacent numbers forming a square
box) at 8 to 1. These inside bets have better odds and
may be considered best roulette bets.
When it comes to best roulette bets in terms of higher
percentage of winning, the outside bets have it. Betting
on a column or a dozen group gives you 12 out of 38
chances of winning at a payout of only 2 to 1. Other
outside bets – odd-even, red-black, first-last 18 only
returns your bet at 1 to 1.
